The only problem is that traditional Avgolemono soup takes hours to prepare and, while the payoff is fantastic, most people just don’t have the time to dedicate to that sort of venture.

What’s So Great About the USA? (1 Views)

I got into a debate the other day regarding this topic, and I didn’t do so well. At the time, all I could pull out were the big obvious arguments which are so well known that plenty of counter arguments already exist. For example, freedom… freedom of religion (yeah but the country was founded by Christians and is still Christian dominated), freedom of speech (yeah, but the press is often one sided and tends to be sensational), safety through strength (yeah, but the American people are getting weak - they don’t have the stomach for war), etc.

Still, I’ll give it up because I make all of this stuff so others will hopefully enjoy it, not just so I can keep it. (At least that’s what my wife keeps reminding me. :-)

Custom Bowie (In Private Collection) (1 Views)

This 12.5″ custom knife has a 6.5″ x 1.5″ hand-forged blade made from 5160 high-carbon steel. As with all of my blades, this one is differentially heat treated so that the cutting edge is very hard while the spine remains softer for safety and durability. This blade is very tough and it has passed my personal test of shaving hair, chopping through a 2″x4″, and maintaing a shaving sharp edge.
