Possibly one of the easiest Greek recipes is a popular side dish, green beans. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 - 15 oz. cans of green beans
- 1 - 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons - Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon -Oregano
- Salt and Pepper to taste (preferably fresh ground)
Here is how I make this dish:
- First, I open the three cans and put them in a pot in layers. One can of green beans, then tomatoes, then green beans. I find this just helps me mix them up a little easier.
- Next, pour in the olive oil (this stuff adds flavor and is healthy, so don’t skip it!)
- Throw in the oregano…
- Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste (go easy on the salt, but heavy on the pepper)
- Finally, stir it up really well, bring it to a boil, then let it simmer for about 10 minutes
Even though I don’t eat vegetables, I’m told that these are extremely tasty. So Bon Appetite!

This is one of my favorite dishes that John makes. If you like green beans, then you have to try this recipe. It’s simple, healthy, and tastes great!
