Arrow of Light

The Arrow of Light is the top honor awarded in the Cub Scouts to those young men who are preparing to continue on to the ranks of Boy Scouting. Not all young scouts are worthy of such an honor, but those who are traditionally receive a specially prepared Arrow of Light, consisting of a straight and true arrow with color bands that correspond to awards achieved in scouting.
One special scout to earn this coveted award is Christopher Patton, for whom I was honored to create a special Arrow of Light. Christopher’s Arrow was born of flame and steel, then painstakingly wrapped hundreds of times with colored string to represent the many awards achieved through scouting.
