This 13″ custom knife has a 6.5″ x 1.5″ hand-forged blade made from 5160 high-carbon steel. As with all of my blades, this one is differentially heat treated so that the cutting edge is very hard while the spine remains softer for safety and durability. This blade is very tough and it has passed my personal test of shaving hair, chopping through a 2″x4″, and maintaing a shaving sharp edge.

The guard is made of Nickel Silver and the handle is, unfortunatly, a mystery wood. (I purchased this block of wood from a supplier but didn’t make a note of the type of wood.) The handle has been shaped by hand and sanded down to a 600 grit finish. I did not buff this handle because the wood looks and feels so good that I wanted it to be more natural.

This knife also comes with a sheath I made specifically for it which will accomodate up to a 2″ belt”.
