We live in a very nice golf course community known as Turf Valley. The homes are on good sized lots and spaced apart with wooded areas. The entrance to David Force park is about 8 houses down from us and comprises 228 acres with trails.

Our house is two stories, with 60% of the basement finished. The total finished area is about 2800 sq. ft. (2200 + 660) with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths & 2 car garage. We have converted the basement into a media room & pool room, the bedrooms are upstairs and there are formal living and dining rooms as well as a den, breakfast nook, mud room and large kitchen on the ground level.
One nice thing about our home is our outstanding back yard. The house is on 1/3 of an acre and the back yard is quite large. The yard was landscaped before we moved in, and has shaped up to be quite attractive.
Here is a view of the home from the back yard on a rather gloomy day. It still looks pretty nice, but looks nicer on a sunny day.
For those that enjoy porches, this house has plenty. The front porch spans the width of the house, and out back there is a fully screened porch for enjoying meals outdoors. It makes for a nice reception for visitors as well as a fine place to sit around and enjoy the fantastic weather we have during the spring and fall.
A couple of accents that make an impression when entering the community include tree lined streets and the nice entrance signage. There are also a few things I think people tend to take for granted... Everyone in the neighborhood keeps their yards nicely manicured; there are no "permanently parked" vehicles, trash, or other eyesores; there is a lot of foot traffic in the evenings with people taking walks and walking pets.
And of course, let's not forget the golf. A nice golf course serves as more than simply a place for recreation; it also helps to keep the standards high in any community. Turf Valley offers 36 holes, a full spa, and guest rooms as well as dining and special events such as concerts and auctions.
One of the nicest things about our community is that even though it feels very roomy and rural, we are only minutes away from all the shopping and services one could desire. The following are some aproximate distances:
